Ninety Mile Beach

Located 30km south of Sale and in close proximity to Gippsland Lakes Coastal Park, this national park stretches along 5km of rugged coastline. Unless you’re planning on camping at one of the many campsites located along the park, Ninety Nile Beach may be more a great place for a picnic rather than one of the best BBQ spots in Victoria – but its other attractions easily are up for it. Vast plains of sand stretch in every direction and years of natural formation have created sandy shorelines and sand dunes along the water. The park is teaming with marine life with over 860 species to be discovered within 10 square metres. Though less rare, larger animals such as octopuses, crabs, snapper fish and even young great white sharks can be spotted.
